Make her birthday page feel like her.
A birthday website does not need every photo you have together. A few well-chosen memories, a note about who she is, and a wish for the year ahead give it a clear beginning and an ending. Choose the mood she would enjoy: a playful candle, a photo album, or a quiet letter.
How it works
- 01
Choose one feeling for the page
Decide whether you want it to be funny, comforting or celebratory. Pick a template that matches her taste. Someone who dislikes being the centre of attention might enjoy a private story more than a big celebration effect.
- 02
Pick photos with a reason to be there
Start with a small set: one favourite portrait, one shared memory and one ordinary moment. Add a caption that explains what you remember, rather than repeating the date. Use pictures she is comfortable receiving and sharing; leave out private conversations or embarrassing moments.
- 03
Write the birthday letter in three parts
Begin with a moment you noticed this year. Say what you admire about how she handled it. Finish with a wish for her own year ahead, including the things that matter to her beyond your relationship. You do not need a grand promise to make it meaningful.
- 04
Check the actual opening on a phone
Use Preview to check photo crops, names, dates and line breaks. If you add music or video, make sure the page still makes sense without pressing play. Save and create a private link, then send it at a time she can enjoy it rather than having to respond immediately.
A simple birthday page outline
Opening: “A few good things about your year.” Memory: a photo and two sentences about the day behind it. Letter: what you appreciate about her. Ending: one wish and an invitation to do something she likes.
Do not let the template’s sample date or example couple become part of your gift accidentally. Read every heading and caption once after personalising. The public examples are fictional, and the images are sample artwork.
Three ways to begin
These are fictional examples. Keep the shape, then replace every detail with your own.
“This was the afternoon the picnic got rained out. You made sandwiches on the kitchen floor and called it a better view. I still think you were right.”
“This year I hope you get more time for the painting you keep postponing, more Sundays without errands, and people who are as glad to see you as I am.”
“I watched you begin again this year, even on the days it was uncomfortable. I admire that quiet courage. Happy birthday. I am very glad I get to know you.”
Keep this in mind
The strongest birthday detail is usually something only you could have noticed. Keep the page private unless she wants it shared, and let her choose whether to keep the link, replay the memories or answer later.

Questions and answers
- Which birthday template should I choose?
- Try the live previews below. A storybook gives a letter room to unfold, a celebration adds an interactive birthday moment, and a scrapbook puts photos first. You can change the sample content in the editor.
- Can I use my own photos, music or video?
- Website templates let you add personal media where those controls are available. Keep the original files yourself, preview the result, and remember that the recipient chooses when to play sound.
- Can I send the page at midnight automatically?
- A share link is sent by you; creating it does not message the recipient. If the editor offers a sealed-until date, that controls when the gift opens, not when a message is delivered.
- Can I fix a typo after I share?
- Published gifts are snapshots. Make an editable copy, correct it, and create a new link for the new version. Revoke the older link if you no longer want it to open.
